Jane Marcus-Delgado

Professor

Jane Marcus-Delgado, Professor, works in interdisciplinary Latin American Studies. She has lived, worked, and studied in Latin America and other parts of the world. Prior to joining the CSI faculty in 1999, Dr. Marcus-Delgado served as a Fulbright project officer for the Latin American Scholarship Program of American Universities (LASPAU) and as an associate at the InterAmerican Dialogue, a policy think-tank in Washington, D.C. She is a strong advocate of international education who works closely with the College’s Center for Global Engagement.

Scholarship and Publications

Dr. Marcus-Delgado’s scholarship focuses on evolving relationships between Latin America’s governments and citizenry. She writes and lectures on executive power in the region, as well as on the global community’s role in legislating and influencing policymaking on migration, social issues such as reproductive rights, and the rise of global cities vis-à-vis the state.
