Access to Campus Buildings

All academic buildings are accessible by ramp. At the front right door of each academic building is a push pad, which, when activated, automatically opens the door.

All classroom numbers and directional signs are indicated in Braille.

Hallways in the academic buildings and the main administrative buildings are equipped with handrails along the corridor walls, and all restrooms are accessible.

The elevator in each academic building is located on the left wall of the entrance foyer near the study lounge (Proceed straight ahead when you come in the front door; the elevator is on left-hand side, before you reach the study lounge.)

The Campus Center is wheelchair accessible. Automatic push pads are located at the entrance to the bookstore (which is located at the right side of the front of the building) and the College Health Center (which is located at the left side of the rear of the building).

The Campus Center contains:

  • Cafeteria
  • Campus Health Center
  • Computer Lab
  • CSI Association
  • Student Club Offices
  • NYPIRG
  • Office of Student Activities
  • Publications (College Newspaper)
  • Student Government

The cafeteria, located on the first floor of the Campus center, are both wheelchair accessible. The dining area contains several raised tables that will accommodate wheelchairs. Personnel from both areas will be happy to assist you whenever you request assistance.

Access to the offices on the second floor is provided by a stairway and by an elevator located to the left of the bookstore. The student computer lab on the second floor has two stations that are accessible for wheelchairs.
