CAB Committees

CAB Committees

The Campus Activities Board is comprised of seven committees, which sponsor a variety of programs for the CSI student body.

The CAB Live committee is responsible for planning a diverse variety of live entertainment including music, comedy, magic, poetry, jugglers, hypnotists, mentalists, etc. Popular events include Rocktoberfest, Magician: Mat Franco, and Poets "The Mayhem Poets".

The Take Me Away Committee is responsible for planning small events that engage students through interactive and personal experiences. Events planned by this committee include Coffee Breaks during finals, Make Your Own Sundaes, Sign Shop, Rice Jewelry, Pottery Painting, Craft programs, and more.

The CAB Film and Television Committee plans a series of film showings each semester featuring new release, documentaries and other popular films. Films are shown daily in the Campus Center (1C), Bijou Lounge. 

The CAB Major Event Committee is responsible for planning Fall Carnival, Spring Festival, and themed dances.  They work in collaboration with other CAB committees, Student Government and the Office of Student Life to plan Weeks of Welcome at the start of the Fall and Spring semesters and Spirit Week.
 

The CAB Speaker Series Committee is responsible for presenting speakers who can educate, inspire and entertain.  Past topics have included financial management, health and wellness, domestic abuse, and dating/relationships. CAB has provided support for the annual Student Leadership conference and helped to bring such speakers as Caryl Stern, Dee Dee Myers, and Donna Brazile to campus.

On the Road with CAB plans off-campus adventures throughout the semester to Broadway shows, amusement parks, sporting events, and much more. Popular trips include the annual Fall trip to Fright Fest @ Great Adventure, the summer trip to Dorney Park Wildwater Kingdom and Broadway trips.

The Membership Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing recruitment, training, and recognition programs for the Campus Activities Board.

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing a marketing plan for CAB events, including management of all CSI CAB social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat).

An email will be sent to all faculty and staff approximately one month prior to the deadline for the submission of grant requests.
