The College of Staten Island Medical Laboratory Science B.S. Program gained NAACLS accreditation in October 2012. This prestigious status allows our graduates to sit on the ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathologists) Clinical Laboratory Sciences Generalist Exam.

Michael Alege (Class of 2016), is the first of his class to pass the ASCP CLS registry exam, works as a medical technologist specializing in Blood Bank at Cornell Medical Center.

Monnique Johnson (Left, Class of 2019) and Norhan Sobhi (Right, Class of 2017) won the First Place of the “Medicine” group for their oral presentation on brain cancer research at the 2017 New York State CSTEP Conference. Both Norhan & Monnique are mentored by Dr. Nancy Liu-Sullivan, Department of Biology, College of Staten Island.
