Supplemental Instruction

Supplemental Instruction leaders are tutors who attend a specific course section, take notes and follow the class material. The SI leader assumes the role of the model student. Leaders assist students by integrating course content with learning strategies and guide them through the more difficult material. The goal is to provide students with the tools and knowledge that are necessary at all levels of college coursework. Students enrolled in sections with SI leaders receive a solid foundation for academic success.

SI leaders are currently assigned to sections of astronomy, cinema studies, communications, core, English, geology, math, psychology and sociology.

If you are an instructor and would like an SI Leader assigned to your course section, please direct your request to your respective Dean.
