Assessment Requirements

Overview
In order to assure the quality of our education programs and compliance with state and national accreditation standards, CSI’s School of Education collects information from the students in our programs. This information is used to assess the operations of the programs and overall school—not individual students.

Role of TK20
Students must submit most of the information through TK20, an online data management system to securely collect and house these data. TK20 is part of a system called “Watermark,” and when you ask for help via Watermark Support page, you need to indicate that you are using TK20.

Getting a TK20 Account
All students are REQUIRED to purchase a TK20 account upon entering any Education program. The account costs $142, and you will need your CUNY Empl ID when you purchase the account. The deadline for purchasing the account is May 1st (Spring semester) or December 1st (Fall semester) of the FIRST SEMESTER in the Education program.

You can purchase the TK20 account through the Tk20 login page (Click on the “Click here to purchase your student account” link on top of the page).

Duration of a Tk20 Account
An account is active for 7 years. The lifetime of an active account can be extended by sending a request to the Director of Assessment (Dr. Someki); however, once an account becomes inactive (i.e., passes the expiration date), it can only be re-activated by purchasing a new account. Therefore, it is critical for you to request an extension if you will remain in any Education program for more than 7 years (e.g., enrolling a graduate program, getting an extension). Purchase errors can be resolved as long as they are handled quickly and in accordance with TK20/Watermark’s refund policy.
