Welcome to the College Now Office!

Program Information

College Now is a collaborative program between the City University of New York (CUNY) and the New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) designed to improve the academic achievement of high school students and prepare them for college. Our mission is to introduce Staten Island public high school students, of varying skill levels, to the rigors and rewards of higher education by connecting them to high-quality scholarship and instruction.

Our summer 2026 program is full. If you would like to be on the waitlist, please send us an email to ‘collegenow@csi.cuny.edu’ and we will send you our summer 2026 program information and links to apply.

Fall 2026

All qualified students participate for free!

Application Information

• Applications are reviewed in the order they are received – any additional applications from the same applicant will be processed based on the new timestamp
• Applications are accepted until all classes are full (up until the first day of classes)
• Acceptance status will be sent to the email address that is provided to us – you may want to check your "Spam" or "Junk" folders or ensure our domain is marked as safe so notifications don't go to your spam folder

Course Information

• Only 11^th and 12^th grade students are eligible to apply for fall 2026 courses
• Classes BEGIN on September 19, 2026 and END DATE is TBD (refer to the course syllabus for holidays and end date)
• Classes will be held on Saturdays between 9:00am and 12:30pm
• Our Willowbrook campus is located at 2800 Victory Boulevard, Staten Island, NY, 10314

Student Status

• New Students: You are considered a new College Now student if you have not taken any College Now courses at any location INCLUDING your own NYCPS high school.
   
• Returning Students: You are considered a returning student if you have taken at least one College Now course at any location, INCLUDING your own NYCPS high school

Instructions for Applying

• New Students:

  1. Complete the CUNY College Now application by clicking on this link.
  2. Complete the CSI College Now application by clicking on this link. 
  3. Send your unofficial high school transcript, SAT Score Report, or ACT Student Report to 'collegenow@csi.cuny.edu' with a subject line 'Fall 2026 – your full name'. If we do not receive your transcript/SAT Score Report/ACT Student Report, you will not be eligible. If you are taking photos of your transcript, please make sure it is clear and that all 4 corners are visible.

  ** If both applications are not submitted – there will be a delay in processing your application **

• Returning Students: 

  1. Complete the CSI CN application by clicking on this link. 
  2. Send your unofficial high school transcript, SAT Score Report or ACT Student Report to 'collegenow@csi.cuny.edu' with a subject line 'Fall 2026 – your full name'. If we do not receive your transcript/SAT Score Report/ACT Student Report, you will not be eligible. If you are taking photos of your transcript, please make sure it is clear and that all 4 corners are visible.
