Attendance & Weather Closings
Students are expected to attend all scheduled course meetings. Missing one class is equivalent to missing a week in a regular semester.
It is the general policy of the College not to cancel regularly scheduled classes because of weather conditions. However, there are instances where especially adverse and hazardous weather conditions make it impossible to travel and to conduct academic activities at the campus. Students can find out about decisions to close the College because of extreme weather via messages sent from the CUNY Alert system or the College of Staten Island webpage.
