F1 Visa Application Process Overview

Apply to ELI and get accepted:

Submit your application to ELI and ensure you are accepted into a program eligible for an I-20 form, which is required for the F1 visa.

Receive your I-20:
Once accepted, ELI will provide you with the I-20 form, which details your program and serves as crucial documentation for your visa application.

Pay the SEVIS fee:
Access the SEVP website and pay the required SEVIS fee before scheduling your visa interview.

Complete the DS-160 application:
Fill out the online Nonimmigrant Visa Application (DS-160) on the US Department of State website.

Schedule and attend your visa interview:
Book an appointment at the nearest US embassy or consulate to attend your visa interview, bringing your I-20, passport, and other supporting documents.

Important points to remember:

Financial proof:
You will need to demonstrate sufficient funds to cover your tuition and living expenses during your stay at ELI.

Strong ties to home country:
Be prepared to show evidence of your ties to your home country to convince the consular officer that you intend to return after completing your studies.

Check eligibility:
Not all ELI programs qualify for an F1 visa, so ensure you select a program that allows for an I-20.
