Summer learning is vigorous and vibrant at CSI! While condensed and intensive, summer courses offer students a great opportunity to accumulate additional credits.

Expanded course offerings, varied session options, and special events – these are just some of the special features of Summer at CSI. Committed to both accelerating student degree progression, and supporting community learning, we offer several convenient session options to accommodate many different summer plans. In addition, courses are offered at both the Willowbrook and St George locations.


8 Week Session: June 3 - July 25
4 Week Session I: June 3—June 26
4 Week Session II: July 1 - July 25
*Registration is open through the first day of classes for each session!

For Non-CUNY Visiting Students

You may take summer courses here if you have permission from your home institution.
Please download and fill out a visiting and non degree application along with documentation, such as transcripts or permits from your home institution.

For Undergraduate Non-Degree Students

(For those who simply want to take a credit bearing course)
For students who are NOT enrolled in a degree program elsewhere and do NOT intend to apply for a degree program at CSI at this time.  Please download a visiting and non degree application form from our Registrar's web site.

For CUNY Visiting Students (ePermit)

CUNY students interested in taking classes at CSI can file an ePermit application directly from their CUNYfirst self-service page. The approval of those requests must come from the faculty advisors at the students’ home college. Visit the CUNY ePermit website for more information.

For Current CSI Students

If you are a CSI student who has claimed your account, you may register for Summer and Fall classes at your assigned appointment time through CUNYfirst.

Financial Aid

Financial aid may be available for summer sessions.  Students interested in applying,  prior to registering, should consult with an advisor in  Enrollment Services, located in the North Administration Building (2A), room 106, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9 am to 4:45 pm, Thursday 9:00am  – 6:45 pm; or by calling 718-982-2030, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4:45 pm, or emailing inquiries to Financialaid@csi.cuny.edu.


Visiting and Permit students should contact the Registrar's Office to have official transcripts forwarded to their home colleges.
