An entrepreneur is someone who starts a business on their own. There are approximately 594 million entrepreneurs in the world in 2023, which is around 7.4% of the total population. This is a 2.1% increase from the 582 million estimated in 2020. The growth in entrepreneurship positively impacts job creation, innovation, and economic development.

We support this growth of economic development by providing you the training and professional development that help you grow and flourish in the market. We recommend the following self-paced courses to assist you in your road to entrepreneurship. The following courses, suites and series will provide fundamental training to make you more successful:

  • Entrepreneurship: Start-Up and Business Owner Management - Build a strong foundation in the skills needed to succeed as an entrepreneur. You'll learn how to use financial techniques, legal structures, funding sources and more to grow your start-up business. You will learn all business areas of an entrepreneurship venture, such as legal structure and requirements, funding sources, intellectual property law, operations, marketing, advertising, and finances. By course completion, you will create a comprehensive business plan to get your startup idea off the ground and into the market.
  • Employment Law Fundamentals: Learn the basics of employment law so you can legally hire, evaluate and manage employees as a manager, supervisor, small business owner, human resource specialist, or corporate executive.
  • Workers Compensation:  Learn essential knowledge and skills of one of the most important and fastest-growing areas of law. This course provides a solid foundation in workers' compensation law and greatly increase your chances of landing a job with a private law firm.
  • Corporate Document Drafting:  The course will teach you how to write clearly and concisely. You will gain foundational skills for drafting or reviewing legal documents or contracts, as well as grammatical and syntactical principles and draftsmanship.
  • Contracts for Business Owners: Learn all about contract law, including considerations related to the creation and enforcement of contracts.
  • Business Budgeting: Learn the elementary skills needed to be successful in the budgeting process and work gradually work your way up to creating a budget.
  • Small Business Suite:  This series will give you the information you need to start your own home-based or online business by developing the qualities of successful entrepreneurs. You will receive a step-by-step approach that will help you build a simplified strategy and attract customers with successful marketing techniques on a tight budget.
  • A to Z Grant writing Series:  Obtain a comprehensive understanding of grant writing fundamentals and learn strategies you can apply to get your proposal funded, help your current organization, or enter the in-demand field of grant consulting.
  • Advanced Grant Proposal Writing: Learn from an experienced grant writer how to research and write winning grant proposals. This course will provide you with a complete understanding of all the components used to determine whether to fund or reject a proposal and how to give your project an edge over others.
  • Nonprofit Management and Grant writing Suite:  Develop the skills and strategies you need to become an integral part of one of America's fastest growing service sectors. Further the ideals and goals of your nonprofit by learning to compete more effectively for members, media attention, donors, clients, and volunteers. Learn to prepare grant proposals that get solid results for your favorite organization or charity.
