These easy-to-follow, semester-by-semester guides align academic requirements with career readiness activities to support on-time graduation and prepare students for successful careers or advanced study. With built-in career planning, the ultimate goal is for students to earn degrees that lead directly to fulfilling careers with competitive salaries.
Each Career Degree Map includes career milestones aligned with the skills and career paths relevant to each major. These maps leverage a wide range of on-campus resources, including such as student organizations, research opportunities, career services, partnerships with local industries, and the CSI Alumni Network.

- Draft or Build Your Resume: Begin documenting your academic achievements, campus involvement, and work experience to create a strong, competitive resume.
- Join a Student Club or Organization: Get involved on campus to build your network, develop soft skills, and gain leadership experience.
- Create a LinkedIn Account: Establish a professional online presence and begin building your network early.
- Draft a Cover Letter: Practice writing effective cover letters tailored to internships, fellowships, and entry-level job opportunities.
